  words, the angiosperms and our present decidious forests have sprung  from these.

   그러니까 from these가 두 연결구 사이에 위치하여 동시에 앞뒤 문장의 보어역할을 해주는 단축형구

   문을 만들어 주기 위해서 위와 같이 표현된 것입니다. 영어의 특성중에 중복된 단어나 구*절은 흔히

   생략하여 문장의 간교함을 중시한다는 점이 있다는 것을 항상 염두해 두시기 바랍니다.

저는 was deleted a clause 라고 생각했거든요,

 경우가 허다한데 원어민들은 문장앞에 과거분사가 올 경우 이해하는 방식이 deleted같은 경우 앞에

 (The thing which is)가 생략되어 있다고 관념적으로 인지하는 언어적 학습이 어려서 영어를 배울때부

 터 되어 있기 때문에 그렇습니다. 그러니까 순차적으로 해석하자면 삭제되어진 그 무엇이란 것은 ~라

 는 것이었다. 이런 식으로 영어원어민들은 이해를 합니다.
